Emergency Medical Service is an international, peer-reviewed scientific journal affiliated with the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Medical University of Warsaw. The quarterly has been published since 2014 and provides an academic platform for research in emergency medical service, emergency medicine, clinical management of critical conditions, and medical guidelines and recommendations.
The journal publishes original research articles, review papers and case reports entirely in English. Its mission is to support the development of prehospital and in-hospital emergency care by disseminating reliable scientific evidence to physicians, paramedics, nurses and allied health professionals.
Emergency Medical Service brings together specialists representing emergency medicine, anesthesiology and pain medicine, intensive care, surgery, orthopedics and sports medicine, as well as public health and occupational medicine.
The editorial board includes experts of national and international recognition, representing both clinical and academic centres.
The aim of Emergency Medical Service is to promote scientific research and clinical practice in the field of prehospital and emergency medicine, including patient management in life-threatening conditions, modern diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, medical rescue operations, and simulation-based education.
The journal supports multidisciplinary approaches that integrate medicine, public health, clinical decision-making and organizational aspects of emergency care.
