The scope of activities

ALUNA Publishing House publishes scientific articles in the following Journals addressed for doctors and paramedics: Acta Balneologica, Emergency Medical Service and Wiadomości Lekarskie. It also occasionally publishes both scientific and popular books. The Publishing Team conducts a full publishing, printing and logistics cycle.

In the case of scientific publications, Aluna Publishing House cooperates with a large group of experts representing individual medical specialties.

Principles of scientific publications

The principles of publication in Aluna Publishing House consist of Ethical principles, in accordance with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines, Regulations for the publication of the article with instructions for authors, and Review rules.

The authors retain the option of depositing the electronic publishing version for promotional and scientific purposes on other non-commercial websites (in particular on the author’s website, in the scientific repository or on the employer’s website).

The publisher agrees to self-archive the articles, along with information about the original source.

Distribution of publications

Publications of Aluna Publishing House are distributed in electronic form and in printed versions. Scientific articles and selected publications are available in the Archives of individual Journals as well as on the Publishing House’s website in the open access system under the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license. In addition, scientific articles are sent to databases in which a given journal is indexed – in whole or in part (metadata, abstracts etc.).

The Publisher decides about the number of print editions of Journals. Aluna Publishing House, in accordance with applicable regulations, provides obligatory copies of scientific publications and Journals to relevant institutions.
